Overflow: The Widow of Zarephath
Every need is an opportunity to receive a fresh revelation of God!

What is a revelation of God?
When God gives you access to see something about Him you didn’t see before
Your needs are not just some problem, your needs SERVE you! They serve to reveal more of God to you.
NEED ||
The Widow of Zarephath:
Every previous need has prepared this woman for this God encounter. In this need, He would reveal Himself to her.
Every single one of your needs has served a God purpose in your life. You may not see it yet, you may not recognize it, but every single need has been allowed by Him and has been ordained by Him. Every single need serves a great purpose: to reveal God to you!
SEEK ||
The Lord has a special message:
V.14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!
The message is do this little thing and I will bless you with overflow! More than enough to see you through to the end!
Something changes when you catch a revelation of God. Elijah’s God could provide for her needs. But it came at a cost, she would have to lay down her desires, her needs, herself and had to choose to prefer His way and obey His commands.
Many times in our “seek”, we will be confronted with the same reality. Prefer self, do it your way, do what makes sense, prioritize your needs, your health or seek His way.
PREPARE ||
She did as Elijah said…(v.15)
We often hop off the cycle here because we don’t do as the Lord says. We do as we want, as we feel, as google recommends, as what makes sense to us. In our preparation, we must do as the Lord says.
PASTORAL CAUTION: When we resist, we delay and we can even miss out.
WE MUST COMMIT TO DOING AS HE SAYS.
NOTE: She did not grumble.
POUR ||
As a result of her obedience, we see the pour. God fills the flour and olive oil containers.
OVERFLOW ||
Where death had come knocking, LIFE abounded. Where lack abounded, now perfect provision abounded. The needs were met above and beyond their wildest dreams.
Exceedingly above and beyond what they could think or imagine Ephesians 3:20
2025 is an “Ephesians 3:20” year.
The need was used to bring the widow a fresh revelation of God. He revealed Himself to her as provider.
Ministry Moment:
Choose to recognize your next need as an opportunity for overflow.
Do you recognize your needs as an opportunity to grow in your revelation of God? Every need is serving you. Every need is God giving you access to Himself and showing you a part of Himself you have never seen before. If we remain on the cycle of overflow, our needs will lead to an overflow of revelation of God. When we catch revelation, we are transformed.
Pray: Repent for not recognizing the need as the Lord’s entrance. Repent for grumbling about the needs. Repent for seeing the need as a punishment. Keep us on the cycle. Let every need lead us to seek God, prepare with God, experience the pour and overflow with the revelation of God! Mature your Bride Lord, take us deeper.
