24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
You Will Not MAKE IT Without Daily Connection

Jesus disciples, the sheep of His pasture have these three things in common:
They hear His voice
They are known by Him
They follow Him
It is from this revelation that we determined, in order to make disciples (sheep) of the nations, East Gate would teach people how to:
Hear God’s Voice
Connect with Him daily
Walk with Him in obedience
Psalm 91:1 New King James Version
91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Matthew 6:6 New King James Version
6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
It is the place where we learned that we could ENCOUNTER God on purpose
The place where Holy Spirit moved scripture from our heads to our hearts
The place where our faith was increased and strengthened
WE LIVE IN A CULTURAL MOMENT OF DOUBT || Verse 24
Doubt in the authority of scripture
Doubt in the power of the church
Doubt in the moving of the Holy Spirit
JESUS IS NOT THE SOURCE OF OUR CULTURE’S DOUBT || Verse 25
Jesus has been clear from the beginning
He speaks with authority
He knows who has connected with His heart
He waiting for people to respond to Him in faithful obedience
PERHAPS THE CULTURE MOMENT IS SO FULL OF DOUBT, BECAUSE THE CHURCH HAS SO LITTLE FAITH? || Verse 26
Take a moment and ask yourself:
Do I believe that God speaks and that I can hear His voice?
Do I believe I can connect with God’s heart and be known by Him?
Do I believe that God is inviting me to follow Him in faithful in obedience?

At East Gate we believe that membership is a covenant relationship with the people that make up a local church body.

Attend
Be counted among us. Our desire is that you and your family become a part of what is happening at East Gate during our corporate encounters. We want you to experience, first-hand, everything that God is doing in our midst. It just keeps getting better!
Connect
Be planted among us. We believe God has brought you here for a reason. Allow yourself to be connected to the body, begin to spiritually grow, and become a part of what God is doing here at East Gate, through EG Connect.
Tithe
Give with us. The word tithe literally means one tenth. Here at East Gate we affirm and teach that the tithe is holy unto the Lord. Tithing is one of three ways we are commanded to practice the spiritual gift of giving in scripture. We take obedience to the Lord seriously and demonstrate that He is first in our lives when we pay our tithes.
Serve
Serve with us. Jesus said that the servant is the greatest of all. As followers of Jesus, we choose to live in service unto the Lord and one another. Service is how we build community and relationships at East Gate. Together we serve God, the local body, and our local community. At East Gate we empower those who serve faithfully. So I encourage everyone who is not yet serving to set aside some time to prayerfully determine how you sense Holy Spirit is inviting you to serve at East Gate.
DISCIPLESHIP
EG Connect is not just how you become a member, but also how you spiritually grow at East Gate.
EG Connect is how people at East Gate are developed into spiritual maturity through their daily secret place time with God.
The secret place is any time and space we intentionally set apart to meet with God.
In our daily secret place, and through the disciplines of our faith, we grow in our ability to hear God’s voice, connect with Him daily, and walk with Him in obedience.
This is the way we disciple at East Gate
Teach people how to hear God voice
Teach people how to connect with His heart
Teach people how to walk with Him in obedience

11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
We have all been given gifts by Jesus to equip God’s people to do his work.
